Computer says “Home”: A Fabric of Homes is an Interactive installation and long durational performance, by PhallAndĞäliä (Ronald Bal and Gamze Ozturk).
During the exhibition we share experiences of “home” together with the audience. These conversations were stitched together in the presentation, which creates a growing installation. The project combines the bureaucratic alienation – the papieren werkelijkheid – and the lived experiences of home. By doing so, we represent the relation of art and place, in temporary social networks coming to visit the venue. Our duo art project was developed at Stanly Hall Theater, organized by Future Rituals in London in 2024. We are PhallAndĞäliä duo-artists from the Netherlands and Turkey. We live and work in Rotterdam, Londen and Istanbul.
First part of ‘Computer says “Home”: A Fabric of Homes’ was presented during BIG ART 2024, at Het Slotervaart in Amsterdam. We are planning 4 different other locations in the Netherlands. Afterwards, we will present this work in 5 different locations in Turkey.
